Michief Madness Blog Hop for My Life in Arts n' Crafts DT

Welcome to another fun My Life in Arts’ n Crafts’ Design team Hop!

Jessi loves Halloween so tonight we're having a mischief madness hop. Happy Mischief night and don’t get into too much trouble. You can put the eggs and toilet paper down. My project today is sure to keep you out of mischief, or maybe make you want to go cause some in your craft room.
If your coming over from CardMonkey Ellen  you're in the right place and if not make sure you head over to My Life in Arts’ n Crafts’ to get started.

For my project I used the Stone Gray twine, Mandarin Orange twine , and purple jute From the My Life in Arts’ n Crafts’ store.

This is a graveyard card I designed in Inkscape and then cut out. As you can see, the gates open up to reveal, "Happy Holloween." I used the twine and jute to put a pretty little bow around my gates to keep them closed because you may dare NOT to open them. All the people in there have been dying to get out. Had to throw that one in there.

Thank you so much for stopping by and best wishes for a safe and fun trick or treating.

Bewitched Blog Hop

Welcome to the Bewitched Blog Hop. Have you ever wanted to just "twitch" your nose and make things happen without of course the meddling "mother-in-law" and the other cast of characters!

Bewitched was an American situation comedy broadcast for eight seasons from 1964 to 1972. The show is about a witch who marries a mortal and tries to lead the life of a typical suburban housewife. The series even had a different Darren cast part way through the broadcast. There was a wild cast of characters including the neighbor, Gladys, and Larry, Darren's boss.

If you just happened to land here on your broom today by chance, I would love for you to start this hop at beginning which is Lynne at http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/. If you arrived from Anita's blog then you are on flying with the stars in alignment.

Witches Brew for Card:
digital witches' hat stamp - I sited this stamp as being created by me because I couldn't remember where I got it from or if one of my friends had passed it off to me. Sonia from SKdigis contacted me to tell me that it was her file and I needed to site it as that or remove it. I decided to site it so that I could give her the credit she deserves. She does beautiful drawings on her site and I encourage all to visit her site and see what she creates, so the witches' hat is created by SKdigis
witches hat colored with Inkadinkadoo bright blending chalk and Pebbles Inc. shimmer chalk
bright green background paper is DCVW Citrus collection
dry embossed on background done using Cuddlebug
orange glitter for moon - Stugio g
"You're Bewitching" printed out on Canon printer and then inked with ColorBox fluid chalk inkpad in Wisteria
Thank you so much for hopping along with us today in this "Bewitched" blog hop.

Sasha Loves Her Cricut Birthday Bash Party Blog Hop

<center><a href="http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1216.photobucket.com/albums/dd365/slasew/my20wish20for20you_-1.jpg" width="180" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></center>

Welcome to Sasha Loves Her Cricut Birthday Bash Party Blog Hop. Sasha is Lynne's oldest granddaughter at the ripe old age of 7 today. Sasha loves to craft with Grammie Lynne especially with the Cricut! She knows the rules of using the Cricut --- no food eaten or around the Cricut, no touching the Cricut when the blade is cutting and the most important rule - THE CRICUT IS NOT A TOY!!!

Everyone participating in this hop is to make Sasha card for her birthday using their Cricut - Sasha loves Disney Cars, Hello Kitty is her favorite cartridge to cut out and make into cards, Cinderella is her favorite Disney Princess and she loves balloons are just a few of her favorites.

Come along and help wish Sasha a very happy birthday!!!! If you just happened to stop by and visit me today, I'm thrilled and glad you follow me but I wouldn't want you to miss any of Sasha's party! Our party starts with Lynne, Her Craftiness, at http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/. If you followed the balloons and party streamers you should have been skipping along from <insert previous blog here>.

Lynne is going through her stash and found all kinds of goodies in her recent move that she will make up a party favor bag to one lucky person that comments along the way.

There is a great group of ladies helping to celebrate Sasha's birthday and here is the line-up in case you get lost along the way with the confetti and balloons

  1. Lynne - http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/
  2. Kimberly ~ http://scrappingrookie.blogspot.com
  3. Lisa ~ http://handmadewithlove-lisa.blogspot.com/
  4. Anita~ http://www.anitaandbugs.blogspot.com
  5. Miriam ~ http://miriamscreations.blogspot.com/
  6. Susan ~ http://susanascorner.blogspot.com/

For my card for Sasha, I have made a LaLaLoopsy digital stamp that I colored using my Promarkers.
Time for cake!!!!

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark - Day 2

Welcome to the Don't Be Afraid of the Dark Blog Hop on October 13 from 9 am to 11 pm CST.  Thank you for joining us to help us celebrate Halloween. I love all things about Halloween.  So I decided to host this fun celebration with some of the most talented crafters that I know.
I do have a few rules for this hop, in support of each crafter and the time they have put into their work, to be eligible for the "Grand Prize" you MUST visit each blog and leave a comment for each day of the blog hop and also become a follower of my blog, and my dt blog at http://scrappingwithlisadesignsdt.blogspot.com/.  The blog candy is $25 in free files over at http://scrappingwithlisadesigns.com/.

I also am giving out a file of $3 value to each person that hops. To get this file, please choose what you would like and then send me an email to ljopeters62@yahoo.com and I will send your file right out to you.

Now for my project, I made a card...
The adorable little with comes from Sister's Craft Cafe but when I went to their site, it says you can't get the witch any longer. : ( I used my Promarkers to color her. They have other great digital stamps so check them out anyway. The frame behind my little witch is a Cuddlebug embossing folder that I used my Exacto knife to cute the middle out of.

Thanks for stopping by these pass two days and I hope you have enjoyed all the wonderful inspiration our crafters have displayed for Halloween.

Hugs from Jearise in Lorby's World.

Dessert Blog Hop

Dessert: Something sweet (high in calories) that comes at the end of a meal. Today we are serving up dessert all day long and anytime you want it and the best part, sweet surprises with NO calories. Please hop through and see each person's take on dessert and don't forget to give them some blog love! I can guarantee your mouth will be watering at the end of this hop.

I'm your hostess again and hope you like dessert since that's what we have to offer on this hop. I am giving away two sets of stamps because with every great dessert goes a great wine and one of the most basic desserts is one of the best...
How to win: Come follow me and leave a comment that you were here today. Also, if you're interested in hopping along with us in the future you can head to Facebook and join my blog hopping group: http://www.facebook.com/groups/482264468453870/

Now who doesn't love cupcakes?! I love making and decorating them and letting the kids decorate them too so I had to make a cupcake card to share.
The cute little mouse is from sliekje.blogspot.com . I just love her digital stamps and they are FREE! I used my cuddlebug to emboss the background with cupcakes and then went over it with purple ink to bring out the details. I used Liquid Pearls for the dots on the cupcake and my Promarkers to color the image.

Now another wonderful dessert is chocolate in all it forms such as chocolate brownies. I decided to make a brownie box that is just the right size for a BIG piece of brownie to take home from the party. This box will hold a 4 inch by 4 inch piece. Yum for later.

I created the box and used my Cricut to cut it out. I used forest green natural jute from My Life in Arts n' Crafts to tie it up.

Please continue on to Tanya's blog. and thank you for enjoying our tasty desserts.

Hello,

I had "Mad Hatter Day" and "Plush Animal Day" this month. I got so creative with my Mad Hatter project that I didn't get my plush animal project done and now it the beginning of the hop and I need to show you what I've made. I will try to finish the plush animal idea and post later today or on Monday.

Here's my Mad Hatter project: Instead of making a hat, which I've done before, I decided to create the bottles that Alice drank.
I put paper I found in my stacks that made me thing of Alice in Wonderland on a serving tray.
This multipurpose bottle can be used like I did or even for a perfume bottle in a project. The cover comes off.
This bottle was inspired by the flat medicine bottles you use to see in at the pharmacist.  I had to add my bling to the "Drink Me."
This box is made from two simple Origami paper boxes.

Thanks for stopping by and mark your calendar again next month to see what Holidays to Celebrate on November 10, 2012, for the next Calendar Girls Blog Hop!

Please continue on to Janet's Blog.

Now for my project, I made a tag using my Cuddlebug.

I used this cool embossing folder that cuts and embosses the image at the same time and then you open up the side that has the raised embossing and you can color it. I used orange for the tag but colored the embossed areas black. I then cut another tag in purple that I had used the Tim Holz embossing folder "swirls" on and cut that to fit in the middle of the tag. I created the pumpkin using my Promarkers.

You've made it through the hop and I hope you saw some projects that inspire you and give you knew ideas to use. Hugs from Jearise in Lorby's World.

October Home Decor Blog Hop

Welcome to the Home Decor & More blog hop. This is a 2 day event, so be sure and join us both days for even more projects! Our host is Cicily the Pink Dalmatian Scrapbooker. If you came from Jessi's blog then you're in the right spot. If you want to start from the beginner than head on over to http://pinkdalmationscrapper.blogspot.com/ and hop your way thru some amazing home decor. The Pink Dalmatian is giving away blog candy, you can see all the details on her post. Some of the other hoppers may be giving away candy to so be sure & check them out.
We all have drawers, closets & possibly rooms full of scrapbooking supplies. Those beautiful, colorful supplies don't have to be limited to our pages. We hope to inspire you to use your supplies in Home Decor projects that add that special touch to our homes.

With Halloween right around the corner and my recent move, I decided to make some decorations for my new home. I got rid a lot of decorations when we moved so I am finding that as a good excuse to make my own.

I decided to make a Halloween centerpiece for our dining table so here is my project...
I had the beaded pumpkin from a few years ago and got lucky and found the mini-broom in Target just the other night but I made the witch's hat and shoes.

The hat is the svg file: Happy Haunting Halloween Party from SVGAttic. I added orange tulle and purple sparkle pipe cleaners to the brim.

The witches shoes come from the svg file entitled: Toil and Trouble from SVGCuts. I added black glitter to the whole shoe except the buckle part which I added gold glitter to.

Thanks for stopping & looking at my Home Decor project, be sure & stop again tomorrow for my second Decor item.

We love comments & you should too, they get you entries into the blog candy giveaways!

Now head on over to Lisa's blog..

Krazy Crafting Crew October Fest - Day 2

Isn't October wonderful! Crisp apples picked fresh from the tree, warm apple cider to warm your tummy on a frosty night, leaves of gold, red, brown fluttering to the ground. October is a wonderful time of year and this hop is a celebration of October and all the colors, smells, sights and sounds it has to offer. Hop along with our Krazy Crafting Crew as they show you their take on October and what it is for them.

I am Jearise from Lorby's World and your hostess this month. I have a great gift for you: a $10 gift card to Michaels. Become a follower of mine and leave me a comment letting me know each day (This is a two day hop.) and you'll be in the running. Simple.

We also have a special sponsor: Scrapbook Stamp Society.

They would love to reward one special blog visitor with a prize from their store. To be qualified for their drawing, please comment on all participating blogs and let them know you have.

You can receive extra entries for following them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/groups/205539419562521/ and for commenting on the Scrapbook Stamp Society blog http://addicted-to-stamps.blogspot.com/.

Today's project is an origami treat box.
I had some candy corn paper left over from another project so I made it into an origami box. The natural jute is from My Life in Arts n' Crafts. Isn't it cute filled with candy corn and so easy to make for that last minute Halloween gift for a teacher or bus driver.

Here is a video on how to make it.

Now let's begin our hop...

I made this Halloween card. The digital stamp is from SK Digis, colored twine from Divine twine, Cricut Halloween embossing folder for back ground and I used Pebbles chalks to color the digital pumpkin.

Thank you for stopping by today and please continue on to Lissa's blog.

SCREAM Blog Hop

If you're looking for the Krazy Crafting Crew monthly blog, click here.

This time of year is about fall leaves and costumes and trick or treating but it's also about the SCREAM! This hop showcases that part and we hope you have a great time hopping through to see the screams we have crafted.

Our hostess for this hop is Creations by Gill so please begin your hopping there.

Our sponsor for the hop is Rick St. Dennis MF who will be giving away four digital stamps. Please take a moment to check out his site.

Info:
I designed the tree and made it a digital stamp. I then used water color pencils to color it.
Martha Stewart punch for the dripping goo.

Thank you for hopping today and now onto Tony.
